I started this text blog today following a meeting with my employer
about my rights under the Family Medical Leave Act.
I will post some history of what led up to this soon, but the boiled
down version is that after three and a half years doing the same
job, my employer suddenly changed my job description to include
physical activities that I am unable to perform.
Because I now can't do the job, they planned to let me go on July
29th. That date is now on hold while they try to decide what
to do to prevent me from filing a discrimination suit under
ADA.
I have until August 3rd to return the FMLA paperwork. In the mean
time I need to see my doctors and seek some legal advice to see what
my options are.
